  • 2040hrs - Call to investigate barge "Humber Keel" aground at Whitton Lightfloat. 3 persons onboard happy to sit it out and wait for the tide.
  • Humber Rescue returned to station at 2125hrs.
2 05.01.07.
  • 1805hrs - Call to reported sighting of rowing boat drifting in the river, search conducted with RAF Rescue 128 and Coast Guard teams.
  • 2010hrs small rowing boat recovered from river.
  • 2022hrs returned to station.

  • 0955hrs - report of a speed boat out of fuel near Hessle Haven.
  • 1012hrs on scene, possible gearbox problem. Speed boat towed back to Hessle foreshore.
  • 1045hrs returned to station.
4 22.01.07.
  • 1725hrs - Call to object on Redcliffe Middle Sandbank, search carried out but nothing found.
  • 1825hrs returned to station.
5 27.01.07.
  • 0245hrs - Call to assist police at North Bridge Hull with person threatening to jump. Stood down on route, person in police custody.

  • 2050hrs - Call to assist police at Reg Carter Way Bridge on the River Hull with person threatening to jump.
  • 2055hrs stood down before launch person in police custody.
7 04.02.07.
  • 2200hrs - Call to 25 foot cabin cruiser "Arline" with engineer problems entering Hull Marina.
  • 2215hrs on scene, Arline had engine failure when entering the outer marina basin. The out going tide and current forced them in to the back of the pier. Humber Rescue secured a long tow line to the Arline and pulled them into deeper water. Once in deeper water and because Arline had no steerage Humber Rescue took them on a side tow and safely in to Hull Marina. Coast Guard were on scene at the lock gates to take details.
  • 2350hrs returned to station.
8 13.02.07.
  • 1335hrs - call to assist Yacht "Morangie" which had engine trouble just off Hull Marina. Morangie made its own way under sail into the Marina basin where Humber Rescue secured a tow line and towed them safely through the lock gates and to its berth in Hull Marina. Coast Guard were on scene. And Humber Rescue support crew in out Land Rover also attended.
  • 1435hrs returned to station.
9 16.02.07.
  • 2345hrs - call to a person threatening to jump from St Andrews Quay. Police and Coast Guard on scene. Humber Rescue stood by close to the incident until 0030hrs when person was taken into Police custody.
  • 0045hrs returned to station.
10 20.02.07.
  • 1915hrs - call to barge "Farndale H" aground at the Apex with 2 people onboard. Humber Rescue stood by while the incoming tide re-floated the barge. RAF Rescue 128 was on scene.
  • While on route to the scene Humber Rescue travelled through a large flock of seagulls and 1 managed to become trapped in the A frame on the boat, this was released unharmed and Humber Rescue continued to the incident.
  • 2021hrs Farndale H confirmed re-floated and making its own way up the River Ouse.
  • 2050hrs returned to station.
11 21.02.07.
  • 2049hrs - call to person threatening to jump from the railway bridge over the Dutch River near Goole, because of the position of the incident Humber Rescue despatched 3 crew in the Land Rover with the small boat in tow but were stood down on route when the person was taken into Police custody.
  • 2115hrs returned to station.
12 24.02.07.
  • 1140hrs - called to report of person in the water half a mile west of Welton Waters. Humber Rescue conducted a search of the area
  • 1220hrs discovered a body on the river bank approx 7 metres from the water. Police on scene to recover.
  • 1255hrs Humber Rescue stood down by Coast Guard.
13 24.02.07.
  • 1300hrs - while returning to station from previous incident the Coast Guard tasked Humber Rescue to investigate a speed boat near to our slipway.
  • 1305hrs Humber Rescue on scene, the speed boat had broken its propeller and gearbox while trying to recover at Hessle and was now drifting in the river. Humber Rescue secured a tow line and towed them back to launch site.

  • 1505hrs - called to person threatening to walk into River Humber, close to the north tower of the Humber Bridge.
  • 1515hrs Humber Rescue launched and stood by close to the scene. Coast Guard, Police and Ambulance were on scene and RAF Rescue 128 had also launched.
  • 1520hrs all units stood down as person was taken into Police custody.
  • 1525hrs return to station.

  • 1950hrs Call to person threatening to jump from Humber Bridge.
  • 2000hrs launch, Police on scene and Coast Guard on route.
  • 2010hrs stood down person in Police custody.
  • 2015hrs return to station.

  • 1155hrs call out to Yacht Pandamonium aground at Red Cliff Middle Sand, near South Ferriby.
  • 1210hrs launch
  • 1220hrs on scene, yacht aground and happy to sit it out for the incoming tide.
  • 1240hrs Humber Rescue returned to station.
  • 1326hrs Returned to standby while they refloated.
  • 1345hrs Pandamonium refloated and making own way to Brough.
  • 1430hrs return to station.
17 31.03.07.
  • 1614hrs call to Yacht Pandamonium aground again on Reeds Island, taken in tow this time and towed to Brough Haven.
  • 1720hrs returned to station.
18 31.03.07.
  • 1940hrs - call to 24ft Yacht Enchanter with 2 POB, with engine problems close to number 30 bouy.
  • 1950hrs - launch
  • 1954hrs - on scene, yacht making its own way with Humber Rescue escorting them to Hull Marina.
  • 2000hrs - yacht had run out of oil but managed to refill.
  • 2005hrs - engine stopped again, taken in tow.
  • 2045hrs - arrived at Hull Marina.
  • 2105hrs - Humber Rescue left the Marina.
  • 2130hrs - Return to station.

  • 16:24 Vessel "Kerry Ann" now self floated on rising tide making own way to South Ferriby with Humber Rescue Escorting

  • 2222hrs Call out for a red flare sighted at the south bank of the River Humber near New Holland
  • 2233hrs Launched 4 crew onboard
  • 2237hrs on scene, commencing search from Humber Bridge to Skitter Ness along the south bank.
  • 2250hrs searched up to New Holland jetty nothing found so far, Police helicopter is now assisting with thermal image camera.
  • 2305hrs searched as far as Skitter Ness nothing found, Police helicopter leaving the scene.
  • 2310hrs search called off, returning to station.
  • 2330hrs returned to station.

  • 0530hrs - called to a Police incident at North Bridge on the River Hull, Humber Rescue was stood down before launching.
22 07.04.07.
  • 1700hrs - called to a jet ski aground near South Ferriby.
  • 1705hrs Humber Rescue launched.
  • 1710hrs jet ski floated on the incoming tide whilst Humber Rescue was on route, Humber Rescue escorted the jet ski back to Hessle.

23 09.04.07.
  • 1435hrs - Called to a report of a jet ski in difficulties near to the Humber Bridge.
  • 1436hrs Humber Coast Guard mobile unit on route.
  • 1451hrs Humber Rescue stood down prior to launch as jet ski restarted and self recovered.
24 13.04.07.
  • 0200hrs - pagers activated by unknown source. No emergency.
25 16.04.07.
  • 2240hrs - called to vessel Cherry Sand (Dredger) entering King George Dock and ran aground on Faul Sand, 7 people onboard including a pilot.
  • 2245hrs - launch.
  • 2305hrs - onscene - taken one person off (the cook).
  • 2310hrs - all 7 now taken off for safety.
  • 2312hrs - Land rover and shore party from Humber Rescue on route to King George Dock.
  • 2330hrs - all 7 landed at King George dock lock
  • 2335hrs - Humber Rescue joined by Humber Lifeboat from Spurn Point and the Pilot launch Neptune with the Deputy Harbour Master. All standing by alongside at King George Dock.
  • 0130hrs - Humber Rescue took Pilot, Vessel Captain and Chief engineer back to Cherry Sand to assess.
  • 0200hrs - DR stood down and PD took over as Coxn.
  • 0210hrs - Humber Rescue stood down, the remaining crew were transferred once the vessel re-floated by the Neptune while Humber Lifeboat stood by.
  • 0230hrs - Humber Rescue returned to station.

  • 1930hrs - Called to a report of a small abandoned dingy in the River Humber near New Holland Pier.
  • 1937hrs - Humber Rescue on scene, old sailing dingy recovered and returning to station.
  • 2015hrs - returned to station.

  • 1700hrs - Paged to a report of a cabin cruiser aground on the west side of Redcliffe sand.
  • 1710hrs - Humber Rescue on scene with the casualty "Moonshine".
  • 1713hrs - Casualty is afloat, although had been aground for a short period of time.
  • 1715hrs - Casualty making own way toward Hull Marina escorted by Humber Rescue.
  • 1723hrs - Vessel making good progress, passing South Ferriby.
  • 1738hrs - Vessel "Moonshine" happy to continue journey on their own from Humber Bridge onward.
  • 1739hrs - Coast Guard happy for Humber Rescue to return to station.
  • 1744hrs - Humber Rescue returned to station.
28 27.04.07.
  • 1940hrs - Paged to a report of cabin cruiser "Born Free" aground on Redcliff Middle.
  • 1955hrs - Humber Rescue launched.
  • 2004hrs - Humber Rescue unable to get close enough to casualty due to lack of water monitoring from current position.
  • 2022hrs - HMCG spoke with crew of casualty via mobile phone suggesting that they are to stay on board until high water.
  • 2027hrs - HMCG to keep hourly contact with casualty, Humber Rescue stood down.

  • 0240hrs - Called to cabin cruiser "Born Free" aground on Redcliffe Middle.
  • 0250hrs - Humber Rescue launched
  • 0315hrs - Humber Rescue on scene, casualty has re-floated but is unable to start engines.
  • 0320hrs - Humber Rescue attatching tow to casualty.
  • 0335hrs - Casualty taken in tow to South Ferriby, now alongside Reeds Island.
  • 0355hrs - Casualty "Born Free" now moored safely at South Ferriby.
  • 0415hrs - Humber Rescue returned to station.
30 28.04.07.
  • 1545hrs - Paged to yacht "Sanuti" (3POB) near to Alex Dock with engine problems.
  • 1550hrs - Humber Rescue launched.
  • 1555hrs - on scene.
  • 1600hrs - tow line attached to Sanuti and being towed to Hull Marina.
  • 1610hrs - Humber Coast Guard task Humber Rescue to another vessel with engine problems at at Whitgift on the River Ouse on completion of current task.
  • 1640hrs - casualty towed in to the Marina.
  • 1655hrs - Humber Rescue released by Coast Guard to attend the 2nd casualty - leaving Hull Marina.
31 28.04.07.
  • 1610hrs - Humber Coast Guard task Humber Rescue to another vessel with engine problems at Whitgift on the River Ouse.
  • 1724hrs - Humber Rescue on scene attaching towline to cabin cruiser Orotaua. Vessel on route from Driffield to York, vessel to be towed to Goole Marina.
  • 1746hrs - making good progress with casualty towards Goole Marina.
  • 1830hrs - entering Goole Docks via lock along with a merchant vessel.
  • 1900hrs - entering Goole Marina.
  • 1910hrs - Casualty moored up safely in Goole Marina, Humber Rescue leaving to return home.
  • 2000hrs - returned to station, delayed on route due to bad weather and wave conditions.

  • 1650hrs - called to report of person in the water following a fall from the Humber Bridge.
  • 1700hrs - Humber Rescue launched and conducted search of river.
  • 1710hrs - Joined by Coast Guard teams on the river banks and RAF rescue 128.
  • 1715hrs - Humber Rescue shore team joined the river bank search. .
  • 1720-1900hrs - Humber Coast Guard co-ordinated the search constantly updating the search position based on the time of fall and datum predictions.
  • 1915hrs - search called off nothing found.
  • 1925hrs - Humber Rescue returned to station.
34 15.05.07.
  • 0908hrs - called to report of object in the River Humber close to St Andrews Quay.
  • 0920hrs - Humber Rescue launched
  • 0925hrs - Humber Rescue conducting search of area.
  • 0928hrs - Coast Guard shore teams on scene.
  • 0945hrs - Humber Rescue stood down by Coast Guard after object identified as a tree.
  • 0955hrs - Returned to station.
35 15.05.07.
  • 1725hrs - Called to investigate a red object in the River Humber again near St Andrews Quay.
  • 1735hrs - Launched.
  • 1740hrs - On scene and conducting a search of the area.
  • 1741hrs - Red 5 gallon container recovered.
  • 1743hrs - Contact made with first informant on the quay side who confirmed the container as the object he had seen.
  • 1744hrs - Stood down by Coast Guard.
  • 1750hrs - Return to station.
36 15.05.07.
  • 1806hrs - Called on the radio by VTS Humber to report Yacht Anna aground at Winteringham Haven and requesting we attend.
  • 1807hrs - Confirmed with Coast Guard and launching.
  • 1830hrs - On scene, Yacht taken under tow to free it from the mud bank. Once clear of mud skipper happy to continue on his own into the Haven.
  • 1840hrs - Humber Rescue standing by but the Yacht went aground again further in the Haven.
  • 1841hrs - Humber Rescue tried to assist but tide was dropping too fast. Skipper happy and safe to wait for the rising tide. Humber Coast Guard are going to maintain a radio watch with the Yacht.
  • 1900hrs - Humber Rescue returned to station.
37 16.05.07.
  • 0500hrs - requested to re-launch to yacht Anna (callout 36) to assist re-floating at Winteringham Haven.
  • 0520hrs - Humber Rescue on scene, casualty still aground awaiting rising tide.
  • 0625hrs - Yacht now re-floated and is being escorted in to Winteringham Haven.
  • 0630hrs - Yacht safely in Winteringham Haven.
  • 0645hrs - Return to station
38 18.05.07.
  • 1537hrs called to boat with engine difficulty east of the Humber Bridge
  • 1545hrs launched.
  • 1558hrs on scene assessing.
  • 1600hrs Humber Rescue reports vessel "2nd Hand Rose" a cabin cruiser has fuel problems.
  • 1601hrs Humber Coast Guard called wanting Humber Rescue support vehicle to Livingstone Road to check a report of a rib and another craft in difficulty.
  • 1610hrs Humber Rescue support team on scene Livingstone Road, only vessels visible on the river are Humber Rescue and the "2nd Hand Rose" - returning to station.
  • 1621hrs Humber Rescue towing the 2nd Hand Rose to South Ferriby.
  • 1715hrs 2nd Hand Rose safe at South Ferriby and Humber Rescue standing down.

  • 1630hrs - Humber Rescue launched.
  • 1639hrs - Yacht Carina reported by radio to Humber Coast Guard that she was afloat and heading into South Ferriby, Humber Rescue on scene and escorted the yacht into South Ferriby.
  • 1645hrs - Hull mobile on route to South Ferriby.
  • 1653hrs - Humber Rescue standing down.
  • 1700hrs - Returned to station.
40 02.06.07.
  • 1247hrs - called to a Police incident of a report of an object in the River Humber near the Humber Bridge.
  • 1258hrs - launched with Police officer onboard.
  • 1300hrs - Humber Rescue on scene conducting search.
  • 1305hrs - From Coast Guard, the first informant is on the bridge still and has now lost sight of object.
  • 1310hrs - Humber Rescue continuing search.
  • 1317hrs - Police helicopter joins the search.
  • 1319hrs - Coast Guard reports low water at 1430hrs local to the bridge so tide still running.
  • 1330hrs - Coast Guard reports the first informant saw the object when they were half way across the bridge.
  • 1344hrs - Coast Guard reports the first sighting is now 1 hour old and requested Humber Rescue conduct search of North Bank from Humber Bridge to St. Andrews Quay.
  • 1352hrs - From the Police officer on the Bridge via VTS Humber on the radio - the object is about 200 metres from the bridge and about 700 from Humber Rescues position.
  • 1406hrs - Nothing found after extensive search and Humber Coast Guard are now standing Humber Rescue down.
  • 1417hrs - Humber Rescue returned to station.
  • 1500hrs - called by Humber Coast Guard to a report that the object was alongside the pleasure craft Dragonfly near the docks
  • 1510hrs - Humber Rescue re-launched
  • 1525hrs - On scene and recovering the object
  • 1540hrs - Object recovered securely on to Humber Rescue
  • 1555hrs - Returned to station and met by Police and Coast Guard.
41 03.06.07.
  • 1451hrs - called to assist a small cabin cruiser (red hull and white cabin) in difficulty near Fort Paull, limited information because of lack of communications with the casualty.
  • 1502hrs - launch with 4 crew onboard - ETA 20 minutes.
  • 1515hrs - Coast Guard reports casualty thinks its near P6 buoy.
  • 1522hrs - from Coast Guard this casualty doesn't really know what's happening or where he is, as a precaution they are also launching Cleethorpes RNLI lifeboat to assist.
  • 1526hrs - Cleethorpes RNLI launching - Coast Guard instructing them to liaise with Humber Rescue, they are searching for a red hulled, white and blue cabin cruiser. Cabin cruiser has no engine and is drifting. Last report by cabin cruiser on the phone was 10 minutes ago and they reported passing P6 buoy. VTS Humber reports no vessels in that area. As VTS can't see them it is suspected they are somewhere else. Also this cabin cruiser reports no life saving equipment including a radio onboard. Only comms if via a mobile phone.
  • 1527hrs - from Coast Guard Cleethorpes are to conduct a search with Humber Rescue for this missing vessel.
  • 1532hrs - Humber Rescue arriving on scene and starting search.
  • 1539hrs - Humber Rescue has located the casualty near number 12 buoy, and assessing the situation.
  • 1546hrs - from Coast Guard please confirm the vessel position - Humber Rescue reports this is in the vicinity of number 12 buoy. Humber Rescue has the cabin cruiser under tow at this time heading for Paull and do not require any assistance from Cleethorpes. All onboard the cabin cruiser are fit and well.
  • 1605hrs - Cleethorpes Lifeboat returned to station.
  • 1700hrs - Humber Rescue has towed the cabin cruiser to the safety in Paull. They are now standing down.
  • 1726hrs - Returned to station.
42 14.06.07.
  • Called to a Police incident on the Humber Bridge involving 1 male.
  • 1652hrs - Humber Rescue ready to launch but Humber Coast Guard and Police asked for them to standby on the shore.
  • 1654hrs - Humber Coast Guard on scene at the Bridge control assessing the situation.
  • 1656hrs - Male seen walking away from the bridge towards car.
  • 1700hrs - Male with Police and Coast Guard stand Humber Rescue down.
43 14.06.07.
  • 1707hrs - Humber Rescue instructed to standby on shore again while Police and bridge staff check out a second male on the bridge.
  • 1710hrs - Police confirm all ok and Humber Rescue stood down.
44 16.06.07.
  • 1910hrs - Humber rescue paged to assist Humber Lifeboat with tow of 40ft yacht with engine difficulties.
  • 1920hrs - Humber Rescue launched.
  • 1935hrs - Humber Rescue on scene with casualty and Humber Lifeboat.
  • 1945hrs - Humber Lifeboat handing tow over to Humber Rescue.
  • 1953hrs - Casualty "Lorna Doon" now under tow with Humber Rescue ETA to Hull Marina 2 Minutes.
  • 2034hrs - Casualty now safe and moored up on berth in railway dock at Hull Marina and Humber Rescue now leaving.
  • 2100hrs - Humber Rescue RTS.

  • 2145hrs - Paged to a Police incident involving a female on the west side of the Humber Bridge.
  • 2155hrs - Humber Rescue launched and standing by close to the bridge
  • 2253hrs - Female now in Police Custody.
  • 2256hrs - Humber Rescue RTS
46 25.06.07.
  • 1145hrs - Called to assist Police with evacuation of residents in the Anlaby area due to Flooding.
  • 1200hrs - Land Rover and small boat plus 5 crew proceeding to Anlaby.
  • 1225hrs to 2300hrs - various tasks to evacuate people from houses and nursing homes in Anlaby, Cottingham and Hessle.
  • 2315hrs - return to station.
47 25.06.07.
  • 1400hrs - called to a report of a vessel aground at Saltmarsh on the River Ouse.
  • 1415hrs - launched
  • 1500hrs - Humber Rescue on scene, 20ft cabin cruiser "Huckleberry" blue hull, white cabin, locked up and secured with anchor out but not secured. No one onboard.
  • 1515hrs - Humber Rescue towed the Huckleberry to Blacktoft Jetty where it was secured.
  • 1630hrs - returned to station.
48 26.06.07.
  • 0445hrs - Called to assist Police to evacuate The Willows NHS residential home in Grimsby as the River Freshney has burst its banks.
  • 0500hrs - Land Rover and small boat plus 5 crew proceeding to Grimsby
  • 0545hrs - on scene
  • 0615hrs to 0745hrs - Elderly residents and staff evacuated using the small boat.
  • 0745hrs - Humber Rescue stood down.
  • 0830hrs - returned to station.
49 26.06.07.
  • 0845hrs - called to assist Police again in Grimsby as the flood waters from the River Freshney are threatening more properties.
  • 0850hrs - Land Rover and small boat plus 5 crew depart for Grimsby
  • 0930hrs - Diverted to standby at Cromwell Road Fire Station.
  • 1015hrs - Humber Rescue tasked to return to the north bank of the Humber to assist Police in Bude Road, Kingswood, Hull.
  • 1100hrs - On scene Bude Road, assisting Police.
  • 1120hrs - New task by Police and Coast Guard to assist at Arcon Drive, Anlaby Road, Hull evacuating families and vulnerable dialysis patients.
  • 1600hrs - we were joined by RNLI team from Redcar.
  • 1830hrs - Humber Rescue, Redcar RNLI and Coast Guard team along with the Police tasked back to Kingswood.
  • 1900hrs - On scene Kingswood, all units on standby in Kingswood.
  • 2040hrs - all units stood down.
  • 2130hrs - returned to station.

  • 1104hrs - called to a canoe adrift in the River Humber near Hessle Haven.
  • 1112hrs - Humber Rescue launch
  • 1117hrs - on scene nothing found.
  • 1125hrs - Police locate the canoe on the shore near Hessle Rugby club
  • 1150hrs - Coast Guard and Humber Rescue mobile unit recover empty abandoned canoe from Police and return to Humber Rescue lifeboat station.
  • 1155hrs - returned to station.

  • 0345hrs - called to report of person in the River Hull near North Bridge, Fire Brigade, Police and Ambulance already on scene.
  • 0350hrs - launched
  • 0403hrs - Humber Rescue on scene and commence search of area, nothing found.
  • 0525hrs - Search called off and Coast Guard request Police under water search unit to attend.
  • 0540hrs - return to station.

  • 2158hrs - on scene, yacht is high and dry with 3 people onboard.
  • 2205hrs - Skipper happy to wait for incoming tide but 2 passengers taken off and landed at Brough yacht club.
  • 2225hrs - Returned to station.

  • 1434hrs - called to assist Police in recovery of a body from mud bank on Reeds Island in the River Humber.

  • 2355hrs - water around the yacht now but no sign of floating yet.
  • 0010hrs - High tide has passed, not enough water to re-float.
  • 0025hrs - Humber Rescue returning to station to collect small boat in order to recover crew member from the yacht.
  • 0050hrs - Humber Rescue and small boat back on scene attempting to recover crew member but not enough water for boat to get close.
