  • 1700hrs A female presented herself to a crew member at the boathouse threatening to jump from the Humber bridge. The crew member sat her down in the office and called a Paramedic who was sat outside in his car, The Paramedic then took the female and transported her to Hospital.

  • 2040hrs Called by HMCG to a male who had jumped from the Humber bridge.
  • 2045hrs Launched & commenced search under Humber bridge.
  • 2059hrs RAF R128 on scene.
  • 2244hrs Search carried out between Humber Bridge west to Winteringham haven on south bank and Brough on the north bank, including around Reeds island, nothing found. Coastguard & Humber Rescue teams search both banks also.
  • 2244hrs Search terminated by HMCG.
  • 2250hrs Return to station.

  • 1025hrs Launched
  • 1035hrs Only able to get within 30 yards of casualty due to lack of water. Used loud hailer to contact crew, happy to stay on board untill high water.

  • 1745hrs On scene, narrowboat still aground with a 30 deg list to starboard.
  • 1755hrs Bow of vessel now afloat, tow line attatched.
  • 1820hrs Casualty afloat and making own way to Goole escorted by Humber Rescue.
  • 1835hrs Casualty safely in Ocean lock, Goole.
