Who we are

Initially Humber Rescue was run by a small group of enthusiasts who had experience of the River Humber, having previously been Auxiliary Coastguards.

There are now 23 crew members' of Humber Rescue all of whom are volunteers and give their time freely. All of the crew carry a pager; this ensures their immediate availability 24 hours a day 365 days a year.

There is also an essential voluntary ancillary support unit. The unit crew have a variety of different occupations and bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to provide a strong and determined team.

People from all walks of life help Humber Rescue provide their vital service. Shore helpers, committee members and fundraisers all give their time, skill and commitment in strong support of our specialised crew members.
